With 15 locations in Northern Indiana, Southern Michigan, and Northwest Ohio,  - we are the largest supplier to professional builders and contractors in these markets. We also operate three manufacturing facilities: a Structural Building Components Facility offering Roof and Floor Trusses, Wall Panels, and a large selection of Engineered Lumber; a Custom Millwork & Cabinet Facility, and a Window & Door Facility.

Product Availability

We stock the largest assortment of lumber and building materials in the area. From our distribution facilities, we ship to most of our locations weekly - which keeps us in stock on most items. If we don't stock the item you want, we will do our best to find it.

Engineered Lumber

We have the largest assortment of engineered lumber in the area for immediate delivery direct to your job site. We can also provide you with an I-Joist layout of your project.

Service Promise

All Big C Lumber employees are committed to our 10-point Service Promise and Value Statement for the benefit of our customers.

  1. Same day delivery is available for stock products. Specific days and approximate times may be scheduled in advance.
  2. Material returns will be picked up within two business days and posted within three.
  3. Back orders will be minimized. Our historic fill rate is 98.6%.
  4. Materials will be invoiced per estimate terms.
  5. Loads will be double checked for accuracy.
  6. Quality will meet the customers' expectations.
  7. Outside sales people will have a minimum of five years industry experience.
  8. Free estimating service for regular customers.
  9. If we don't carry the products our customers want, we will do our best to find them.
  10. We will respond to our customers' needs in a prompt, courteous manner.

Value Statement

Value is defined as "That quality of a thing that makes it more desirable or useful". Whereas our corporate Service Promise defines what we promise to do for customers on a daily basis, our Value Statement defines who we are and what the proper employee perspective should be. These values beyond anything else have driven the success of our company for the last several decades.

Builder Incentives

Based on your business volume, you may qualify for our annual Contractor's Trip.


We operate our own manufacturing facilities including a Structural Building Components facility (fabricating roof and floor trusses and wall panels), a Custom Millwork & Cabinet facility, and a Window & Door facility. We stock or produce many of the above items and ship directly to your job site. We also offer various steel products for pole barns, framing, siding, roofing, and other uses.

Over 25 outside contractor salesmen are available to service your needs. All have a minimum of five years industry experience. They attend numerous training sessions to keep their product knowledge current, so they can help keep your business current with trends in the industry.

We have the largest fleet of delivery trucks and boom trucks in the area. With our fleet of boom trucks we can deliver shingles to the roof and spot drywall throughout the house. We offer FREE delivery on most building materials, often the same day.

We are the largest Andersen Window & Door distributor in the area. In fact, Big C Lumber has been awarded the "Diamond Dealer" award by Andersen, one of only two dealers in the states of Indiana and Michigan to acheive this status. We are able to offer a competitive price and lead-time, and can deliver from our Window and Door facility to your job site. We also feature Marvin Windows, as well as competitively priced lines of quality vinyl windows - including Simonton Windows, Jeld-Wen, and others.

We have Installed Sales programs for such projects as cabinets, siding, windows, and doors that service many of our locations. We also have a Commercial Contractor Sales group offering specialized service to the commercial building field.
